More than 220 thousand Ukrainians have been left homeless because of the war. And the number of internally displaced persons, according to UN estimates, has already reached more than 7.1 million, and these figures are not final. Today, they are forced to seek accommodation in the central and western regions of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The war has not only exacerbated the need for housing and reforms in this already problematic sector. The team of the Transparent Cities program analyzed the situation in housing policy: what problems existed before the war, what temporary solutions are available today, and what changes should be implemented in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the results of the annual transparency ranking of Ukrainian cities, in 2021, the housing policy sphere became the least transparent for the fifth time: on average, the indicators were met by 30%. That is, this is a rather difficult area to implement, and as a result, it is the least implemented year after year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
