The rebuilding of Ukraine begins now – even if it is against a backdrop of conflict, violence and destruction as Russia continues its war of aggression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By granting Ukraine candidate status for accession to the European Union (EU), the EU has also made rebuilding the country one of its priorities. In order for this reconstruction project to be successful, it is necessary to take into account the specific contextual conditions, as well as the experience of other reconstruction processes, such as in the Western Balkans and Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
