Research on the Practices of Rebuilding Countries After Destruction: The United States

The most destructive hurricane in US history, Hurricane Katrina, occurred in 2005. As a result, New Orleans suffered huge losses and the population was affected by this natural disaster. At the management level, the hurricane showed the weakness of the structures that were supposed to coordinate the response to this natural disaster, especially FEMA. Therefore, after the hurricane, the mistakes were analyzed and, judging by the experts’ opinions, this contributed to the country’s greater preparedness for other natural disasters of this nature, such as Hurricane Harvey. The report describes the specific features of the process of overcoming the consequences of huge destruction that Ukraine can take into account when restoring the territories after the war.
