Fixing the Damage Caused and Obtaining Compensation by Business Entities for Damage Caused by the russian federation
Compensation for the damage caused is perhaps the most important task that must be resolved as soon as possible using international and national mechanisms
Go to reportAs of today, the issue of compensation for damages caused by the Russian Federation to businesses is unresolved. Business entities are unable to receive compensation for the damage caused and are forced to solve problems on their own.
Draft laws on compensation for businesses affected by Russian aggression remain initiatives of a number of MPs and have not received parliamentary support. The lack of legal regulation of this issue exacerbates the negative consequences for businesses, which have no guarantees of support in the event of force majeure that may arise as a result of the war.
It is also necessary to intensify efforts to adopt national (laws, state programs) and local regulations (local targeted programs) aimed at supporting businesses that have been negatively affected by the armed conflict in Ukraine.
