Transparent and Democratic Civic Participation in the Reconstruction Process

The study involved 258 representatives of non-governmental organizations, 145 local governments from all regions of Ukraine, 487 residents from 22 regions of Ukraine (except Kherson and Chernihiv regions), 216 of whom have the status of internally displaced persons.

The purpose of the study was to analyze the existing experience of using public participation tools at the local and regional levels, including in the reconstruction process.

The data obtained as a result of the study will be taken into account when designing mechanisms for transparent and democratic participation in the recovery management process and the terms of reference for the eDem engagement module, which will be an integral part of the recovery management ecosystem – DREAM.
