Modernizing Ukraine’s economy and infrastructure in a way that supports and develops natural ecosystems rather than degrades them will create many benefits for the Ukrainian economy and society. These include enhanced security while reducing dependence on fossil fuel imports, accelerated economic development and job creation, and public health benefits from reduced pollution.

This is stated in the joint report of WWF-Central and Eastern Europe, WWF-Ukraine and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) “Ukraine: Sustainable Economic Recovery for People and Nature”, which was presented by the organizations on Thursday, September 22, during an international press conference.
